This study succeeded in finding a meeting point between the sacrament of penance and the Sob Lor tradition in the Kei community. The data described were collected through literature review and in-depth interviews at Kei. The method used in this study is a qualitative-descriptive method with a semiotic approach. This study aims to find the theological aspects of the Sacrament of Penance in a Kei cultural practice known as Sob Lor. In the Kei community in Maluku Province, various traditions contain theological elements that form theological contextualization. One of the contextualization spaces is the cultural tradition of the community. The mention of Bujakng Baparas refers to supernatural beings who can help and bring disaster to humans, can also act as an intermediary for human communication with supernatural beings around human life, while the use of the pronoun Anda refers to other supernatural beings believed to inhabit water and land areas and are believed to be able to bring help and disaster.Ĭontextualization of theology is no longer optional but is the essence of theology itself. The mention of the name Jubata refers to everything that can bring goodness to mankind. ![]() ![]() The results of this study indicate that in the recitation of the rice harvest mantra, there is mention of mythological figures in the mention of the name Jubata, Bujakng Baparas and the use of the pronoun Kalian to refer to supernatural beings. Using the form of descriptive qualitative research using the method of recording and recording during the process of reciting the mantra of the rice harvest ceremony. This study aims to describe the mythological figures during the chanting of the Dayak ethnic rice harvest ceremony in West Kalimantan. The mention of mythological figures is intended to communicate so that they can bring help to humans during the process of carrying out the rice harvest ritual. The mention of a mythological figure when reciting the mantra Nyangahatn Ka 'Saka' rice harvest for the Dayak ethnic group in West Kalimantan is always mentioned repeatedly in every rice harvest mantra, both in the pre-ritual, ritual and post-ritual mantra. The mythological figure referred to in this study is related to a figure who is considered holy and is considered to have the power to help even bring disaster to humans. Setelah melalui proses penelitian, akhirnya penulis menyimpulkan bahwa ritual Nyangahatn merupakan ritual penyembahan yang ditujukan bukan kepada Allah yang benar dan jauh dari kebenaran Firman Tuhan. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu dengan melalui observasi, kamus, Alkitab, buku. Melalui penelitian ini penulis ingin mengetahui kajian teologis ritual Nyangahatn dalam perspektif penyembahan menurut Alkitab. Penulis mengamati jika adanya penyimpangan tentang ritual penyembahan yang dilakukan oleh suku Dayak Kanayatn mulai dari jalannya ritual, persyaratan ritual, dan doa-doa yang ditujukan kepada objek pemujaan dan penyembahan tersebut. Suku Dayak Kanayatn mempercayai jika seseorang melaksanakan dan taat pada adat-istiadat, orang tersebut akan dicintai oleh penguasa alam semesta, dan jika dilanggar maka orang yang sama akan ditimpa hukuman berupa kelaparan, bencana alam, dan penyakit. ![]() Nyangahatn merupakan ritual sakral dan sangat penting dalam upacara adat suku Dayak, makna dari ritual ini adalah penghormatan dan sembayang suci yang harus diikuti oleh semua masyarakat Dayak di Desa Pancaroba. Through this research the writer wants to know the theological study of Nyangahatn ritual in the perspective of worship according to the Bible. The author observes if there are deviations about worship rituals performed by the Kanayatn Dayak tribe, starting from the way of rituals, ritual requirements, and prayers aimed at the object of worship and worship. The Kanayatn Dayak tribe believes that if someone carries out and obeys the customs, that person will be loved by the ruler of the universe, and if violated then the same person will be subject to punishment in the form of hunger, natural disasters and illness. Nyangahatn is a sacred ritual and is very important in traditional ceremonies of the Dayak tribe, the meaning of this ritual is respect and worship of the sacred that must be followed by all Dayak communities in Pancaroba Village. The Nyangahatn ritual of the Dayak Kanayatn tribe is a ritual that is still performed today. ![]()
